Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd felt more confident following the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated during the first round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous vote, leaving an ominous mark on her record in her amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a professional. At InvictaFC 11, she had her very first professional bout. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a third round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as an "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy through TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina, and ground-and - hit her for the TKO win in the second round. Ladd continued to dominate and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. The winner also got the reward for her performance on the night. Ladd fought in her debut big fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in UFC on ESPN 7. In her place She fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by majority vote.
