Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for her naive roles that are adorable and enjoyable. Adams was one of seven siblings who grew up when she was a kid in Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. Then, in the latter part of 1990s, she began professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. In Minnesota she performed at a regional theater, where her role was in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a mockumentary about beauty magazines. Following her successful screen debut, in which she played an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet relocating into Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. She was the wife of the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and began her career in film in the late 1940s. Through the years that followed, she appeared in many well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
