Her birth date was 29 March 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her birth name. Gerina Stevenson's parents were Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She is Mexican-American by heritage but has American nation by birth. Since she was a child she's had a keen desire to participate in activities. Gerina started playing golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her secondary education. As a high-school student she won the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. She also played volleyball at the national level. At the age of 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. As a senior she was a winner of every tournament she entered. In her time at college, she received an award called the Conference USA Player of The Year Award as well as the Female UTEP Sports Athletics Award.
